Welcome Cattlemen

On behalf of all of us here at Taubenheim Gelbvieh, I would like to welcome everyone to our 16th Annual Production Sale at the ranch, on February 14, 2006.  Wow, what a year in the BEEF industry. Prices are strong, feed imputes are low, and the genetics are getting better each year, at least here at Taubenheim Gelbvieh.

We have resumed trade with Japan which should only fuel more demand for our tasty, tender product. It is great to be in the

BEEF business, and is even better to be raising quality Gelbvieh cattle that finish and grade well.   This year was a good year, with early moisture in the spring and then summer moisture in August, which we haven’t had for years. The calves were heavy and the cows in good shape at weaning. Our bulls are thick, stout, and easy fleshing with more muscle than ever. Oh yeah, the disposition is great on our bulls this year.

We are offering a really top quality set of females, there are definitely show prospects in this offering. Don’t forget that Juniors

can show Balancers at the Junior National next summer in Sioux Falls S.D, in July. I feel confident that these females will be some

of the most productive females in your herd.

Last spring we had calves by the old standby sires such as SLC Freedom, TJB Sleepy, BTI Big Sky, Traveler T510, as well

as calves by our newest herd sires RUPP Gunnison, and Master Onix. We are offering the largest set of Balancers ever offered

at Taubenheim Gelbvieh from Angus sires such as New Frontier 095, TC Freedom, Lead On, and HLH Buster (Red Angus).

The genetics offered are very exciting. As you turn the pages of this year's catalog, we trust that you will find many unique opportunities to add new genetics to your cow herd—many of the pedigrees are stacked with trait leaders and breed leading genetics.   Yes, we are still ranked #2 in the Top Owners and Breeders in the Gelbvieh Breed.

Through the good times and the rough times you can be assured that we at Taubenheim Gelbvieh are still putting our heart and

soul into our cow herd; so that we can serve our customers to the best of our ability and help you stay profitable in the BEEF

industry.  We are proud of the offering and are confident that these cattle will work for any progressive cattle operation. Please join us

early on sale day for a delicious BEEF lunch that is provided by the ladies.

If you have any questions please feel free to call Mike or Dale anytime.

THANKS,   The Taubenheims
