A very nice crowd filled the seats at the Taubenheim Gelbvieh
sale facility for their 17th Annual sale. The sale had been
postponed from Tuesday to Friday because of blowing snow and ice covered
roads in the area on Monday night making travel extremely treacherous on the
scheduled sale day. The postponement proved to be the right move as several
buyers said they would not have made the scheduled date.
The sale featured a great set of both purebred and balancer
Gelbvieh bulls. The highlight of the day was this years Reserve Pen of 3
Balancer Bulls from the 2007 National Western Stock Show in Denver. The
bidding was very active on the pen bulls as well as throughout the entire
sale.
High Selling bulls include:
-

polled bull by BARB Tsunami 447P. He sold to Post Rock Cattle Co.,

Welcome cattlemen, from all
of us at Taubenheim Gelbvieh. We would like to welcome everyone to our 18th
Annual Production Sale at the ranch, to be held on our new date Monday,
February 4, 2008. Here in south central Nebraska it was a very good
year with moisture we haven’t seen for several years yielding plenty of
grass for our herd. However I think the grass was so wet that the calves
weaned lighter, but have caught up nicely since weaning. Our bulls are
thicker, stout made & easy fleshing with more muscle than ever. Both the
females and bulls have a great disposition, something we strive for each
year.
Last spring we had calves by
the old stand by sires such as SLC Freedom, TC Freedom, RUPP Gunnison,
Traveler 2T22T, and Tsunami. We are offering the largest set of Balancers
ever from such sires as TC Grid Topper, Connealy Lead On, Connealy Danny
Boy, (calving ease) TC Freedom, Bando 1961, & HLH Buster (Red Angus), the
genetics being offered are very exciting, we feel you will find many of the
pedigrees are stacked with trait leading A.I. sires. We are offering 50
bulls that are Homozygous black this year--our biggest offering ever.
We feel you will find many unique opportunities to add new genetics to your
cow herd.
The bulls and females will be
available for viewing anytime at the ranch. We will be exhibiting two
pens of Ranchers Kind of Bulls at the National Western Stock Show, look us
up. You can be assured that we at Taubenheim Gelbvieh are still
putting our heart and soul into our cow herd, so that we can serve our
customers to the best of our ability and help you stay profitable in the
BEEF industry. We are proud of the offering and are confident that these
cattle will work for any progressive cattle operation. Please join us early
sale day for a delicious BEEF lunch that is provided by the ladies.
If you have any questions
please feel free to call Mike or Dale anytime.
THANKS, The Taubenheims
